Karl Lagerfeld Who doesn't know him! It was in the news in recent weeks. The famous fashion designer has died. Karl died on February 19 in Neuilly-sur-Seine France. This made Lagerfeld 86 years old.

Karl was not only a fashion designer, but also a photographer and artist. In 1955 Karl started working for Pierre Balmain and in 1958 he moved to Jean Patou. Not much later, Karl resigned there. The designer then went on to Valentino. In 1964 Karl withdrew to study art in Italy. He returned in 1967 and started working as a designer for the Italian fashion house Fendi. In the 1970s, Karl was mainly known for the fashion house Chloé,where he stayed until Stella McCartney took over. Since 1983, KARL has been the chief designer of Chanel. Between 1984 and 1997 he started his own clothing line "Karl Lagerfeld" and from 1998 Karl got his own clothing label.
